SATURDAY 4th

Time

Description

Introduction to Laser Cutting

11am - noon

Learn the basics of a CO2 Laser cutting machine and what it can do.

Jewellery with Jill

2pm - 4pm

Have a go with the tools and techniques with beads, wire, threads and make beautiful things!

Fix Fest - Bring a Broken Thing

All day

Don't tip that treasure! Let's fix and reuse stufff and get away from the BUY-BREAK-BIN culture fuelling waste and landfill.

SUNDAY 5th

Time

Description

Intro to 3D Printing

11am - noon

Squeezing out melted plastic like mini-toothpaste to build up objects in layers - an introduction!

Tool Sharpening

11am onwards

Breathe new life into those old shears, blunt knives or that neglected lawnmower! (Please try to remove the blades first if you can).

Dive into nature and discover the creatures and living wonders in our own park! - Meet outside the front of the cafe.

Plastic Fantastic - Reuse, Make & Toy-hack

11:30am onwards

Plastic is a fantastic material. Have fun learning about it, how to use it and reuse it. Plastic gets a bad name because it gets used in poor, unsustainable ways. We want to help change that.

Rachels Remakery

2pm - 4pm

Sand and paint a chair? Fit a new seat on a stool? Mend a drawer? Try this session.

FIX, MAKE, SHARE, CREATE

Bring along a broken thing!

Do you have any broken or faulty items which you would like to repair? Are you interested in learning how to make and fix things? Everyone is invited to come along with any broken items to see if they can be fixed – there will be volunteers and experts to help out and give advice.

Can you fix stuff?

If you are good at fixing and/or making things? Then please come and share your skills and know-how.

Have a go at something new?

In addition to the repair sessions between 10am and 4pm, there will also be a some intro & have-a-go activities that include...

  • Make some planters from pallets & scrap wood:

  • An Intro to sewing machines & fix those clothes:

  • Basic Introduction to 3d printers & software:

There will be other things to see besides the that listed above and the fixing - you are more welcome to just come and have a look about and have a brew.
